RF Fishing over the past 2 years has been asked on many occasions if they would ever consider creating a 2wt | 10′ fly rod that offered both fantastic feedback, sensitivity and cast-ability.  I guess you can say we really do listen to feedback and requests, RF Fishing is proud to announce that the new Aurora 2wt has been built from the ground up to be the ultimate 10′ rod for any occasion. Building on the success of the proven and customer favorite Nymph 3.4  | 10‘, we reworked every angle and adjusted the materials in the blank as well as the look and feel of what a 2wt should be but in a 10’ guise.

The Blank

Creating a blank that offers a responsive yet accurate profile that lends well to both casting and Euro/Czech Nymph was the core focus. 36T | IM10 grade carbon fiber lends itself exceptionally well to these criteria by providing enough tip sensitivity and flexibility but also a stiff back bone to load and cast in a fast action. The build of the blanks taper offers good mid to low end back bone that lends well to nymph techniques, while the sensitive tip offers exceptional feedback and tippet protection. We have taken what we have learned from customer and testing feedback on our Nymph 3.4 10′ fly rod over the past 3 years and applied it to the Aurora 2wt | 10′ but with the latest techniques and advances in carbon lattice work. The blank alone weighs a feather light 45 grams.
